Fine Arts

At TCS, we strive to offer students a well-rounded experience. We believe the Lord has blessed each of our students with certain gifts which include athletics, arts and academics.

Art is part of the core curriculum at TCS and all of our students are given a chance to explore their creative talents. In addition, to enhance our students gifted in the arts, TCS offers the following extra-curricular experiences:

Music on the Move

TCS offers an outstanding opportunity to participate in an enriching instrumental music program. Music on the Move begins at our third grade level with our students learning the Recorder. Students learn to read notes and note values on the music staff. From fourth through eighth grades, lessons are offered on the following instruments: Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Alto Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone and Percussion. During their school day, students are instructed in small groups of like instruments and/or abilities. Music on the Move is offered from October to May as an optional part of our curriculum at TCS. At the end of the school year, the musicians perform in a wonderful recital for the student body to enjoy.

School of the Arts

Offering students a wide range of enrichment and extracurricular opportunities is a priority at TCS. We believe the Lord has gifted our students with many talents and TCS wants to provide Christian-based programs that help our students discover their God-given abilities.

One such area is the arts. We are blessed to be in partnership with the CCC School For the Arts (SFTA). Coming on-site to our school, the SFTA is a ministry with the desire to develop leaders in all areas of the arts. Their offerings include classes in visual art, vocal & instrumental music, rock band, video production, theater, dance and more! All instructors are professional artists who develop curriculum and teach in a variety of class offerings.
